Jake and Carly get hitched!

So Justin's brother Jake and his fiancé Carly got married on Oct. 8, 2010 in the Raleigh, NC Temple. It was a nice day and everything went great! The day after was their reception in Albemarle, NC where Carly is from. It turned out beautiful as well! Here are some pics from the wedding and reception. They both looked great! Pumpkin Painting for FHE!

So for FHE we did one of my favorite things ever....PAINT PUMPKINS!!! Every year I look forward to doing this, and now the time has come! We had soo much fun! I wanted to do something different so I decided to paint my face on my pumpkin. My dear lovely husband did some sort of pumpkin face with a world on it. He said it was him. Your probably wondering what the heck he was thinking?...ya I'm still wondering myself, but I love the kid. He makes me laugh with his cute cheesy humor :) Anyways we just wanted to share some pics with you of our pumpkin painting night...so here they are!

So yesterday was my 23rd Birthday! Seems like yesterday that I was having my 16th Birthday Party at my house in Charleston.....Good times! But to say the least my birthday was wonderful! I didn't do too much during the day. Justin had to work so I treated myself to a bear claw and hot chocolate at Panera Bread for breakfast and went and got my nails painted that afternoon. So good times right?! :) That night my family took me out to a place in Charlotte called Brio. Its in the Southpark area right next to my favorite mall of course. I love this place! Their food is great, the atmosphere is beautiful and well when your with family, it can't get any better! After dinner Justin had decided it was time to give me my birthday present from him. It was a J-Crew giftcard! Another one of my favorite store's! What a sweetheart he is! He made my birthday wonderful. I also got a free massage from him for like 20 minutes, lets just say that he didn't mind attending to me that day :) What a great guy! I love him soo much! Also thanks to all those who gave me birthday cards and wishes, Yall are wonderful in every way!

Bed Painting...

So my parents have been switching rooms around in their house. Long story short they moved around beds in all the rooms so when all of us kids come home to visit, we have a bed to sleep in. It works out perfectly! Anyways this is my brother Nic's old bed. Nic is on his mission in Arizona, so therefore as we all know he won't be needing it for two years. Mamma and I found an absolute darling bedspread from Bed, Bath & Beyond that looked like it walked right out of Anthropologie. Which lets be honest, we all know that is pretty much the most amazing store ever to walk this planet! :) (if you can't tell...i love Anthro!) Anyways we decided to paint this bed a dark chocolate brown to match the bedspread and all the other furniture in that bedroom. I forgot to take and end result pic, but the bed color turned out great! I can't wait to get the bedspread on it with the decor on the walls. Ill take pics of it later. It looks sooo great together! Now bring on the next project!!

Shrek Uno!

So Justin and I love the game of Uno! The reason for the Shrek Uno is well because I'm not really sure where he got it, but Justin already owned it when we got married, but in a Shrek version. We played it for Family Home Evening last night. We had soo much fun. We are big time card playing gamers! Uno and phase ten are our two favorite. But I have to admit, I most definitely won both games of Uno last night. That's right...im amazing at it! So bring it on any of you who want to play! :)

HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY ADDISON!!!

Our darling little niece Addison Turok turns 3 years old today! Wow how she has grown so fast! Addie is one of a kind. She has energy that puts the energize bunny to shame. She is a pure delight to be around. She makes us laugh pretty much all the time! As you can tell from the picture below, she has quite the personality! We love you Addie and hope your day is great!

Juleigh and Michael Carlson's Wedding

So our friends Juleigh and Michael Carlson got married on Sept. 10th in the Columbia, SC Temple. We all went to their reception the next day. It was fun and it turned out beautiful. Congrats Michael and Juleigh on your wedding! We are excited for yall!
