4th of July with the Watson's!

So every year in Kannapolis, NC they have a big celebration! Its their annual 4th of July Celebration in the park. The Charlotte Symphony comes and plays patriotic music and then there is a big firework show in the end! This was my first year experiencing this fun festivity! We all had a great time! We brought a picnic, chairs, blankets, fun times with the family and then in the end, we got to see an awesome firework show! I love my future family! I couldn't have asked for a better one! They are such wonderful people and I was happy and excited I got to join them on this yearly festivity!

Their beautiful cake!

So Justin and I's dear friends Tia Foster and Brian Cameron got married last weekend. What an adorable couple! I love them both dearly! It was a beautiful wedding, she looked gorgeous, he was as handsome as a prince. I am soo happy for them! Tia went to Clemson University in South Carolina and is a big fan...I mean im talking a BIG FAN. So at their wedding reception their friend surprised them and brought the mascot of the Clemson Tiger. Talk about being mega excited for Tia's benefit. But I must say, hands down one of the most fun receptions I have ever been too. It was seriously a party! They had a live band, pizza, cake, and best of all....it was a POOL PARTY! Who would have ever thought to have a pool party for your wedding reception in the summer.... GENIUS Idea! Anyways over all it was sooo much fun. So again congrats to Tia and Brian and may their live be filled with love and joy!

A New York State of Mind

So this past week my dad had a business trip in New York for Nucor. Therefore Mamma, me and Nic decided to take advantage of this "free" stay in the hotel and make a trip out of it! We went everywhere from shopping, to expensive restaurants, Yankee game, Empire State Building, Ground Zero, a Broadway play and more eating. You cant get better than that in New York folks. We had a great time and I would go back again in a minute. We did lots of fun things and were always busy. Poor Mamma has tendinitis in her foot and so we had to push her around in a wheel chair or just walk slow with her boot. She was a trooper and made it through the buildings, down the streets, in the taxi's and up the elevators. Even though she was in pain a lot...she did it! We had a wonderful trip overall. Here is the result of our wonderful trip!

So our trip started out by Nic singing on the plane...

Trip to Boston!!! (Caution its long :)

Ok so the beginning of my long post is our trip to Boston! Me, Justin, his brother Jake and fiancé Carly drove the whole 16 hours to get there. We left at 11:00pm Wednesday night and drive through the night. Our good friends were getting married in the Boston LDS Temple. So therefore we decided to make a trip out of it! We had a blast. We started in Charlotte, NC and went up to Washington D.C. to see the temple where me and Justin will be getting married in less than a month! Then we made our way to New York City. We spent a couple hours there and had a blast! Then we finally made our destination up to Boston. We stayed with my uncle and aunt, Rogar and Peggy Curtis. They couldn't have been more wonderful! THANKS YALL for the great hospitality! That Friday we spent the day in downtown Boston touring the beautiful city! My Bishop and his wife, Karen flew in for the wedding also. Our other good friend Jamie Johnston came as well. So we spent the day touring and hanging out with them. Then on Saturday it was our friend's wedding int he Boston Temple. The wedding was beautiful and everything went great (well except for the rain and really humid weather) but other wise it was great! We all had a wonderful time and made our way back to Charlotte on Sunday morning. It was a long trip but so worth the while!
